Boy, I've been bad. It's been quite a while since I've posted. But when your life is in the crappy stage that doesn't leave much to write about.
The person that I was taking care of, I no longer do that as of this past Wednesday. As bad as I hate it that I have no money, I am so relieved not to be there anymore. My husband had been praying that God would close the door on this situtation and he did. Now, I'm praying that God will open another door really soon.
My son came in the day before Mother's Day and bless his heart he prepared a wonderful dinner for me and my mom. He fixed Chicken Alfredo, a salad, French bread, and he bought some kind of white wine that goes with chicken. I'm not much of a drinker but the wine was actually very good. The dinner was WONDERFUL!!
He also gave me a giftcard to get 5 car washes at this really nice car wash (he must be trying to tell me something).
Sunday we went to church and came home and JR grilled out chicken. Mom came back over and ate with us. This Mother's Day was a bit sad...I was missing my mother-in-law Jewell who passed away in 2003 and my grandmother Ruby who passed in Aug 2006 and my aunt who passed in February 2006. All three of you are missed terribly but one day I will see you again.
I had a yard sale last Saturday and made $127 and JR made $121 and my poor mom only made $20 something. I was really suprised that I didn't make any more money that what I did. I had a lot of my clothes, Bryce's clothes and toys and household stuff. But, everyone that came was looking for baby girl clothes and my clothes were too small. But oh well, I'll have another one about fall. I have been wanting a Cuttlebug, so I went yesterday to Hobby Lobby and bought me a Cuttlebug and 5 embossing folders (they were 30% off).
I am in a recipe swap and I have to make 28 recipe cards so yesterday I worked on them and I am just about finished. All I need to is cut out some palm trees and glue them on and voila! I will be finished. Will have them in the mail on Monday.
I also did 2 LO's and 2 cards yesterday. The first one I did is of Bryce and his LOVE of Cars!! That child eats, sleeps and breaths that movie!!
The second one is of me on the cruise last September. It was time for the muster drill and the three of us didn't want to go as we have all been to those so many, many times and could actually instruct it ourselves. So, we decided to hide in the cabin. First I hid under the bed and than I tried hiding behind the curtains at the window. I tried one more spot...in the closet behind our evening dresses. Anyway, they made the call that everyone was to be at there proper stations and we just stayed in the cabin hiding. Our cabin steward knocked on our door and even called out to us as they are to make sure that everyone is out of the cabin. We didn't make a peep!! And the cabin steward even opened the door of the closet that I was in and looked. Thank goodness that I am short and the dresses were long. We stayed hid for over 5 minutes just to make sure the coast was clear.
Now, I am doing an All About Me book with the girls on 2Peas. I have to make 16 2-page layouts. I figured it out how to do these and not spend much money at all. I'm using scraps and the only thing I had to get was cardstock as I didn't have any leftovers in an 8 x 8. I thought I got enough card stock to make them but I need one more sheet. Other than that I have everything else cut out and ready to start my assembly line. And my pictures I won't have to pay for. I just signed up on www.artscow.com and for new people that signup they give you 200 4 x 6 and 200 5 x 7 pictures for free. Just have to pay shipping and I think it is $3.99.
Well, Bryce and I are sitting here in bed eating breakfast and watching the Chipmunks. I need to get up and get my shower and later on get to the LSS to get one more piece of cardstock and than I'm going to work on the AMM pages.
Catch ya later!
