A Few Cards

I made a few cards this evening trying to keep my mind busy. Here are three of them:

The inside of this card says, "Under the weather?"

This cupcake card on the inside says, "Seize the cupcake!"

The outside of this card says, "Therapy is Expensive" and inside I've attached a piece of pink bubble wrap and underneath it says, "Poppin' bubble wrap is free."

A New Day

Well, today is a new day and I will continute to trudge on. I went back to a temp agency this morning in hopes that I can find a temp-to-hire job. Had to take quite a few more test and I did really well. I passed them all with flying colors. Now if something will transpire soon.

I talked to my BFF last night and I've decided to go and visit with her and her family this weekend. I'll leave early Friday morning and come home sometime Monday. My godson Will plays Lacrosse (sp?) and he is an excellent player. They are having their first high school game and I want to go and see him play. It has actually been a while since I've gone to one of his games.

We will probably due some scrappin' and or card making so I've got to gather up my things which is hard to do as I can't take everything. I've been scrappin' like crazy trying to get caught up on it but I don't think I ever will. I'm working on last years Europe trip, Bryce's baby book, BOM, heritage and gosh, who knows what else.

I completed a challenge for one of the scrap forums last night and I did it on my father. Here it is, the colors don't show up as well but I actually like it for a change.

I'm So Depressed

I didn't get the job. They finally called me around 5pm this evening to give me the bad news. The president of the bank said he had been dreading calling me all day. He said it came down to me and one other lady and she had more experience but...he said the first interview that he had with me he wanted to hire me and after the second one he knew for sure he really wanted to hire me but he had to give this other lady her second interview. He said my creditials and background check were excellent. I honestly think he did feel bad but not any worse than I felt. So, I am not back to the drawing board.

I'm getting worried...

I really thought that I had this job that I have been interviewing for. I felt really good about it and I felt like they liked me but...I don't think I'm going to be offered the position. They said they would call me today (didn't say what time) and let me know one way or the other. Here it is almost 12:30 and I would have thought they would have called by now so my mind is thinking, you didn't get it. And I have been telling myself that I wouldn't worry about it or get upset but I've already been crying. It feels like I will never get a job.

So, I've been downstairs scrappin' trying to keep my mind off of things. I'm working on finishing my Europe pictures from last September. Some of my layouts are okay and some are better than okay. I am my worst critic as I am sure other people are with their stuff.

I have joined another scrap forum and I've signed up to do a monthly scripture swap (finished those yesterday), 2 ATC's from one group (got one of those finished), 6 ATC's from another group (finished 3 sets of those), and recipe swap (finished) and AAM pages from another group (halfway finished). So, I've been busy working on those. I posted a couple of the ATC cards the other day so I think I will post the recipe swap, scripture and another ATC card.

It Has Been A Busy Day

I got up this morning and started organizing my scrappin' room again for the umpteenth time. And than I must have ironed clothes for at least 2.5 - 3 hours. Finally I noticed that I had a meeting to go to at my church. I got back home a little after 7pm and than I went back downstairs and started getting pictures and supplies together to take to a crop tomorrow.

Anyhoo, Carole here is a coupleof pics of the ATC cards I've done. Now, they aren't anything fancy so I hope you aren't too disappointed.

The first one is a gingerbread boy for "Christmas in July" and the cat is for a Pink/Brown swap.

Thia next one is a hippo (he says hip-hippo-ray!) for Zoo ATCs and the other one is called Sweet Treats and my card has an ice cream sundae and a cupcake and it says, "Why are the best things in life either bad for you or fattening?"

Well, I've got to do the Butterfly ATC swap, Snowcritters and Snowmans; and Bella. Well, I'm going to have to quit for now as it is 1am and I am sitting here nodding off. Goodnight!!

I've Been Scrappin'...

like crazy. I have done more scrappin in the last two days than I have for the past 6 months. I'm trying to finish my Europe trip from last September, finish 16 sets of AAM pages, 28 recipe cards and I finished 16 other recipe cards. Once I finish my trip album, I need to get caught up on Bryce's album, finish Ryan's album, finish my heritage album and a couple of others. Here is a couple of LO's that I did:

This is a picture of the Tower of London. On this LO I matted two pictures and for the top picture I cut it in half and hinged it.

And I cut myself out of another picture and put myself in this picture. At the bottom I make a pocket to put a few other pictures and my ticket stub.

I also made this cute card: On the outside it says, "Therapy is expensive" and the inside has a piece of pink bubble wrap and under that is says "Bubble Wrap is Free"

I also altered this composition book.

I Got It My Y & R Photo!!

I got it, I got it , I got it!! My autographed picture of Peter Bergman aka Jack Abbott came in the mail yesterday. I went today and bought a frame for it so it wouldn't get bent or smudged. Here it is:

It says: To Brenda, Any friend of Kara's is a friend of mine. All my best, Peter Bergman

I have been watching Y & R since 1974. I was 16 years old and I'm still watching it. I love that show!

Anyway, I am so proud of this picture, I just had to talk about it.
